ABOUT

Víctor González was born in Castellon, a city located by the seaside of the Mediterranean. His career started in 1995 when he began studying photography in Valencia. Because of his childhood bond with the ocean he specializes in travel and surf photography but also dabbles in photojournalism and portrait photography.

He has worked as a staff photographer in Surfer Rule magazine for more than seven years, a leading magazine on the Spanish surf scene, where worked as photo editor as well. With 35 covers published Víctor also contributing to other magazines all arround the world:

Suf Europe, Beach Brother, Surf Session, Surf Trip, Blue, Surfers, Water Journal, Carve, Wavelenght, Tonnta, Onfire, Surf Portugal, The Surfer´s Journal, Transworld Surf, Later, Paper Sea, Stab, Zig Zag, InSomnia, LF Magazine, Lamono, Natural, 3sesenta, Radical Surf.
Also contributing with other different publications and guides such as Stormrider Guide and The Bodyboard Travel Guide, or the pretigious book “Swell: A Year of Waves”, by Evan Slater and Peter Taras.

During his professional career he has worked for prestigious brands like Billabong, Quiksilver, Volcom, DVS, Pukas, O´neill or Reef.

His photography, between travel and artistic, has led him to travel to more than 60 countries all around the world, having published two hardcover books about his trips: Más Que Mar (2015) and The Solitude of Beauty (2017).
